A MESSAGE FROM OKLAHOMA'S #1 OKLAHOMA CITY POOL DEMOLITION TEAM:
Oklahoma City, OK homeowner,
We take out in-ground pools and give you the yard back. You can go two ways on it: a partial fill-in, where we break up the shell and bury it in place, or a full removal, where the whole structure comes out and we rebuild the cavity with engineered fill. The second costs more, and it is the one that leaves you able to build on the ground later. We work across Oklahoma City and the towns around it.
The pool stopped being worth what it costs you. Maybe it has not been swum in for years, maybe the liner and the pump are both due, maybe you want the yard back before you sell. Whichever it is, you are not repairing it — you are done with it. You want somebody who turns up, tells you straight what it needs, and does it properly the first time. The typical Oklahoma City property dates to around 1981, so the housing stock here is mostly seventies and eighties. With July highs near 94°F, heat and sun exposure age this work faster than the brochure says.
We come and look at what you actually have, and measure it, rather than pricing it off a photograph you sent.
It says what is included and what is not, which is the only way to hold two quotes side by side and read them honestly.
If this can wait a season, we will say so. If it is worse than you thought, you will hear that from us first.
You might know this as pool removal. Same work, either name. Everything below is work we handle directly, not passed to a third party.

Most jurisdictions require a demolition permit and an inspection of the drainage holes before backfill. Gas, electric and water runs to the pool equipment have to be located and properly disconnected.

The pool is pumped down, and where the water is chemically treated it usually cannot simply go to the storm drain. Discharge routing is a real line item that gets overlooked in cheap quotes.

For a partial, the top courses come down and the floor is punctured for drainage. For a full removal, the entire gunite or fiberglass shell is broken out and hauled away.

Fill is placed in lifts and mechanically compacted, rather than pushed in loose. This is the step that determines whether the yard sinks in three years, and it is where corners get cut.

Pumps, filters, heaters, the equipment pad, coping, and surrounding decking may or may not be included. Concrete decking around a pool is a significant additional volume of demolition.

Final grade is shaped to drain away from the house and topsoil placed for planting. Seed or sod is often quoted separately, and the ground will need topping up as it settles.
A cross-section of the jobs we handle around Oklahoma City — different sizes, different conditions, same standard.

We work Oklahoma City and the towns around it every week. We also cover Edmond, Choctaw, Yukon, Midwest City, Moore, Jones, Mustang and Del City. We know what the buildings here are like and how they age.
The crew on your job is licensed, insured, and on our books – we do not hand your work to a subcontractor and hope.
We do pool demolition specifically. It is not an add-on to a general contracting business. Access is measured, shell construction identified, and the partial-versus-full decision made against what you intend to do with the space afterwards.
You get the number before the work starts, and it does not move unless something is found that changes the job – which we show you first.
Anything to do with pool demolition. To start with: permits and utility locate, draining and disposal, demolition of the shell, backfill and compaction, equipment and decking, grading and restoration. If you need something that is not on that list, call and ask – we can usually quote it or tell you honestly who should.
We cover Oklahoma City, OK and the surrounding towns – Edmond, Choctaw, Yukon, Midwest City, Moore, Jones, Mustang, Del City, Spencer, Bethany, Nicoma Park, Warr Acres, The Village, Nichols Hills, Forest Park, Valley Brook, Lake Aluma, Woodlawn Park, Smith Village, Norman, Newcastle, Union City, Piedmont, Blanchard, and more. If you do not see your town listed, call anyway and we will tell you straight whether we can get to you.

Permits and utility locate is the one we are asked about most often in Oklahoma City. Most jurisdictions require a demolition permit and an inspection of the drainage holes before backfill. Gas, electric and water runs to the pool equipment have to be located and properly disconnected.
Most jobs land between $2,500 and $16,000 per in-ground pool, depending on condition and scope. We come out, look at it, and give you a written estimate at no charge. We are not the cheapest outfit in Oklahoma City and we will not pretend to be – but you will know exactly what you are paying for before anything starts.
Partial versus full removal: The single biggest lever, worth roughly double. Full removal means hauling the entire shell off site and importing engineered fill, rather than burying the material that is already there. That is usually the biggest single swing in a quote, which is why we look before we price.
Yes. We stand behind what we do and we put the terms in writing with the estimate, so the guarantee is not a handshake you have to remember later.
